Defensive Handgun I
Course Length: One day
Course Description: Defensive Handgun I is intended for individuals with a higher level of safety and operational ability with the handgun. In this course, students will be introduced to less-than-ideal shooting positions, practical marksmanship and defensive movement techniques. This course is well suited to those wishing to increase their total awareness and defensive ability outside of the home. Instruction in this course includes:
Real world safetyThe OODA loop, Information Theory, Hicks Law and Occam’s RazorPre-assault indicatorsAnatomy of the targetDrawing from IWB/OWBTactical and emergency reloadsMalfunction clearing (immediate and remedial action)Shooting positionsAustere shooting positionsOne hand weapon manipulationLow-light basicsMovementOn cover/off cover shooting
Course cost: $250.00 ($75.00 refresher for previous students space permitting)

Class size: Minimum of 10, no more than 15
Prerequisites: Previously attended Sage Dynamics Handgun Fundamentals (civ) or attended a comparable course from a recognized school (NRA, Sig Arms Academy, Gunsite, Thunder Ranch, etc.)
