Single Officer Response to an Active Shooter
Single Officer Response to an Active Shooter
Course length: Three days
Course Description: The pragmatic and realistic nature of a single officer response to an active shooter far outweighs the common misconception in law enforcement that such an event requires a team response. While a team response would obviously be preferred, this course is intended for rural officers or for any agency that cannot consistently provide enough manpower for a team based response to an active shooter on short notice. The SORAS course was developed using proven tactics and techniques that have been adapted to confront the historical and common model of the Active Shooter.
